This Organic Summer Schnapps is the essence of summer in a bottle.
This unique vintage Schnapps is meant to be a annual recurrent product.
It is a limited edition, only 1800 bottles made, these are to be shared by all markets, so allotments may be applicable to serve certain countries.
All bottles are individually numbered and hand signed before approval.
Only the best fresh organically grown and harvested herbs, fruits and botanicals are selected to get this very smooth, gentle and enticing character.
The very unique recipe with Bitter Orange, Rhubarb, Elderflower and Apples together with locally harvested botanicals, distilled in the small signature copper pot stills of Hven that creates sweetness that balances the recipe perfectly with the slow oak maturation in American oak.
It is designed to perfectly match the traditional smorgasbord, but is also a perfect drink enhancer as well as a good ingredient in many dishes!
Spirit of Hven organic oak matured Organic Summer Schnapps can be served as schnapps to a cold appetizer, on ice with a strawberry, used as a cocktail ingredient or even drunk with the addition of water alone.
The final product is hand bottled on site at 38% ABV without any carbon- or chill filtering, no colour corrections or additives.
Everything completely natural.
Scent & Flavor
The scent brings us right out on the summer meadows, with the flowers, the grass, the strawberries and the wonderful smorgasbord we await so dearly.
There are fresh citric notes with scents of apples and pears backing it up. We find elderflower and honey brought together with strings of vanilla and cocoa.
The flavour is sweet but with light acidity and some bitter notes from the oak maturation. The aftertaste is long but still very gentle and smooth.
This drink is best taken orally, anyway you can and want, it will lift you up.
